Most of Danielle Rocio’s work can best be described as stylized, somewhat exaggerated, portraits.  Often times depicting contemporary women, Danielle uses bold colors juxtaposed with delicate pencil rendering.

Born to two artists in Washington Heights, NYC and raised mostly in North Brunswick, NJ, Danielle experimented with drawing and photography growing up.  After high school, she attended the School of Visual Arts in 2008, returning to Washington Heights, where she continues to live and work.

Rocio has exhibited in galleries such as NoMAA, Heath Gallery, and was a part of The Listen Art Show at AM Studios alongside cast member's of MTV's "Washington Heights".  She has done commissioned pieces for several music artists including Homeboy Sandman, Te'La, and Oveous.  Her work has been featured in Remezcla, Snax Magazine, and A.R.T.S.Y. Magazine, among others. She is currently working on her first solo show expected to debut later this year.
